Hello 👋
I’m Jana (she/her)
I’m a UX designer based in Seattle, WA. Titles are nebulous and abstract in my humble opinion. To sum up my career, in essence: I like to think about big ideas and translate them into interesting, relevant narratives. I’ve done this for 5 years as a tech consultant at IBM and 2 years as a teacher in Japan. Three words to describe my working style: intentional, playful, personal.
My background is in social sciences—economics and philosophy, to be precise—so you could say I’m a bit obsessed about understanding people and how they think. My past work experience has helped me refine my skills in conducting research and data analysis, crafting stories for strategic communications, and working with diverse teams and projects. My passion for people enables me to build strong relationships, both when collaborating with a team and empowering my clients.
When I’m not working, I enjoy writing postcards, ice skating, playing squash, trying to read books in other languages (mostly Japanese and French), and catching up with friends (local and global!).
Does this resonate with you? I’d love to chat more over coffee. ☕ Please say hello or check out my resume.
